Emergency & Limitations Policy
Effective Date: 10/14/2025
Beachn Behavior LLC services are educational and consultative in nature. The purpose of this policy is to clarify the limits of the services provided and to outline what to do in the event of a crisis or emergency situation.
Scope of Services
Beachn Behavior LLC provides parent consultation and coaching services focused on behavior-analytic education and guidance. These services are not medical, therapeutic, or crisis-response in nature and are not intended to replace ABA therapy, medical treatment, or mental health care. The BCBA’s role is to offer professional insight, parent training, and educational strategies, not to provide direct behavioral intervention or emergency management.
Emergencies and Crisis Situations
Beachn Behavior LLC does not provide emergency services or after-hours crisis support.
If you or your child are in immediate danger, or if there is a safety or mental health emergency, please contact one of the following resources:
Emergency: Dial 911
Mental Health or Suicide Crisis: Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)
Child Abuse or Neglect (Virginia): Call the Virginia Child Abuse Hotline at (800) 552-7096
Local Crisis Services: Contact your nearest emergency department or community mental health agency
If a safety concern arises during a consultation, the session will be paused, and the parent will be directed to contact the appropriate emergency service.
Limitations of Communication
The BCBA does not provide on-call or after-hours support.
Email and scheduling systems are not monitored 24/7 and should never be used for urgent matters.
Messages will typically receive a response within 24–48 business hours during regular business days.
Referral and Follow-Up
If, during consultation, it becomes apparent that your child requires more intensive or ongoing services (such as ABA therapy, counseling, or medical evaluation), appropriate referrals and recommendations will be provided to help you access the support your family needs.
