Consent to Services Policy

Effective Date: 10/14/2025

At Beachn Behavior LLC, all services are provided only with informed consent from the parent or legal guardian. Consent ensures that families understand the nature, purpose, and limitations of consultation services before participation begins.

Nature and Purpose of Services

Beachn Behavior LLC provides educational parent consultation and coaching services delivered by Courtney Schietinger, MS, BCBA, LBA (VA), a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Services are designed to help parents:

  • Understand their child’s behavior through behavior-analytic principles,

  • Learn strategies that promote positive behavior and communication, and

  • Build skills to support their child’s growth and daily routines.

These consultations are intended for education and guidance only and are not a substitute for ABA therapy, medical care, or mental health treatment.

Voluntary Participation

Participation in consultation services is entirely voluntary.
Parents and guardians have the right to:

  • Withdraw consent or discontinue services at any time,

  • Request clarification or additional information about recommendations,

  • Refuse any suggestions that do not align with their values or comfort level.

Risks and Benefits

While consultations are designed to be supportive and beneficial, results may vary based on individual child and family factors. Beachn Behavior LLC makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes. Any intervention recommendations are educational in nature and implemented at the parent’s discretion.

Confidentiality

All personal and health information shared is protected under HIPAA and the BACB Ethics Code. Confidential information will only be shared when legally required (e.g., mandated reporting of abuse or neglect) or with written consent from the parent or guardian.
